Cosplay Guidelines

At #yoiconph2017, your Yuri!!! on ICE cosplay is highly encouraged! Bring your faves to life! Please help us keep this event fun and safe for everyone by keeping these guidelines in mind.

0. COSPLAY IS ALLOWED AND HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.
We’ll repeat this for emphasis. We love cosplay and we’d love to see yours!

1. NO ROLLER SKATES, ROLLER BLADES, OR SHOES WITH HIDDEN WHEELS.
This is in the interest of both safety and space. Similar wheeled transportation devices such as skateboards and hover boards are not allowed in the venue. Wheelchairs are exempted from this rule.

2. WEARING ICE SKATES? WEAR BLADE GUARDS TOO.
We applaud your commitment to accuracy, but please keep in mind that the floor is carpeted. Please do not walk around in exposed skates. If you wear ice skates with your cosplay, please make sure you are wearing blade guards as well. We reserve the right to impose admission without refund to those who do not meet this requirement.

3. NO INAPPROPRIATE SIGNAGE.
Signs that feature messages like “Free Hugs,” “Free Kisses,” or any variation thereof will be confiscated by the management.

4. NO CHEMICALS OR EXPLOSIVES.
Sparklers, fire crackers, handheld fireworks, or any product or substance that can cause fire will not be allowed inside the event. You only live once so take care of your life.

5. COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT.
This event follows the spirit of “Cosplay Is Not Consent.” If you would like photos of or with cosplayers, please ask permission first and respect their answer if a no is given in response. Be kind and respectful towards your fellow guests.

6. HARASSMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Please report any kind of harassment to the organizing team. Reports of harassment will be dealt with on a case to case basis.
